Au pays du bonheur
This joyful documentary series looks at what makes people around the world happy. Our host Marc-André Carignan's quest takes as its starting point the World Happiness Report[1], which ranks the 156 countries where people are happiest in the world. Published since 2012 by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network[2], the report is produced by independent intellectuals and researchers from around the world.
In each episode, Marc-André goes to the heart of a city or a region of the world where he meets enlightened citizens who embody the culture of their nation. Marc-André's curiosity, open-mindedness and the people who cross his path allow him to present the socio-economic context, the culture, as well as the citizen and municipal initiatives that have a direct impact on the well-being, the quality of life and ultimately the happiness of citizens.
In the course of each of his adventures, Marc-André shares his favourite stories and draws some personal conclusions, full of humour and lightness, that inject a dose of happiness into our screens!
