Eating on The Run
In every region of Quebec, locals have their own favourite spot for the best burger, pizza, submarine, fries, or galvaude (a specialty similar to poutine but with peas and chicken). Eating on the Run features some of the unpretentious holes-in-the-wall that are central to the lives of people in Quebec’s villages and countryside. With his typical good-humoured charm, host Benoît Roberge explores popular culture and its culinary expression through encounters with restaurant owners and their customers. He’s invited into the kitchens and cooks up a storm, all the while trying to figure out why a particular dish is so popular. Playful and even a bit cheeky, our host loves to taste, eat and rise to the challenge of fast food in all its glory.
